Guarda Municipal - CWB

The Municipal Police of  Curitiba (Guarda Municipal de Curitiba) is a municipal institution that acts in the public safety of the capital of the state of Paraná, in Brazil.
It was created in June 17th, 1986 as a part of the Municipal Service of Vigilance. With the Federal Constitution of 1986, it had its name changed to the Guarda Municipal de Curitiba.

Motto: Pro Lege Semper Vigilans (By the law, always vigilants).

One example of what can be called a parallel from a different country is the Houston Police Department.The HPD is the primary law enforcement agency serving the city of Houston, Texas, in the United States, and some surrounding areas.
It was founded in 1841. Since the 1980s it has a multilingual staff, with officers fluent in English, Spanish, among others.

Motto: Order through law, justice with mercy.
